Elastomer is one visco-elasticity polymer which as opposed to common plastics that may be permanently deformed, are able to revert to their original state after being exerted by strain within a certain extent. There are six catalogues: TPE-S and SBC (styrene series), TPO (polyolefin series), TPV (vulcanized rubbers), TPU (polyurethane series), TPE-E (polyester series) and TPE-A (polyamide series). Elastomers of the TPU class can be applied in vamp and sole materials, artificial leathers, hydraulic pressure resistant and breathable-waterproof functional films, sportswear, apparatuses, balls and more usages. But TPU is vulnerable to yellowing as a result of incandescent irradiation or combination with nitrogen oxides in the atmosphere. Appropriate UV anti-yellowing agents can be added to effectively minimize the problem of yellowing of TPU materials
